    Until halfway into the 20 th century, the order of the Western world was Christian. Not like the industrial revolution in England, which is the image most people have of the old world order. That was a phenomenon of the 18 th century. The Christian order was mostly rural in character, and those who were not farmers were mostly trades people or small to medium sized business people living in.
